Rahiem Shabazz is the owner of the Rasha Entertainment Inc., and is an award-winning journalist and filmmaking. The gifted writer’s byline has been spotted on the pages of The Source, XXL Magazine, Vibe Magazine Rolling Out, Urban Enterprise Magazine and AllHipHop.com, to name a few. Shabazz has appeared on BET, Starz In Black and MTV News. He has interviewed an array of celebrities and executives including media maven Tyler Perry, hip hop legend 50 Cent and entertainment icon Magic Johnson. As a documentary filmmaker, Rahiem Shabazz executive produced “Elementary Genocide”, documentary series which exposes the socially engineered mechanism created by our government and utilizing the public school system to label elementary aged African American males as work for hire targets within the US penal system. Elementary Genocide confirms this theory and seeks to educate parents, teachers and families, so that we can reclaim our young men and ensure the future of our community. Shabazz routinely appears in interviews on television, radio, and in print and on the Internet discussing the school to prison pipeline. He routinely travels the United States as a public speaker, at colleges and community organizations, at various institutions, and in a wide range of diverse communities. His most recent speaking engagements include stops at Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse School of Medicine, Cal State University, Union Baptist Church, Maysles Documentary Cinema and many more.
