Marissa O’Guinn Dahl is a filmmaker who got her start working in post production as an editor and visual effects artist. Her focus as a director has been on exploring stories that invoke a sense of wonder and nostalgia. She is currently in the process of completing post production on her feature documentary film Mobility, where she served as editor and co-director. In 2016, Marissa was selected for a fellowship in the inaugural Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund in Film and Media Studies Documentary Incubator program at Johns Hopkins University for her documentary work. Marissa has created multiple award-winning short films earning the Warner Brothers Film Award, Adrienne Shelly Film Award, and recognition as a Fusion Film Festival Finalist. While living in New York City, she worked in distribution on the feature documentary Nursery University, which premiered on Showtime and received a B.A. in film production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Marissa is based in Baltimore, MD where her work in post production has won multiple Telly Awards for editing and visual effects.
